In the rush of daily life, it’s tough to find time to explore the deeper, more meaningful questions.

This weekend retreat is the perfect way to give yourself time, space, and inspiration to reconnect with what really matters.

Held just 30 minutes southwest of Boston, the retreat begins on Friday evening and ends on Sunday afternoon. Led by WITHIN Meditation teacher Sonal Kalra, with support from Danielle Goldberg, over the course of the weekend you’ll leave your regular responsibilities behind and go inward to explore your true self.

You’ll participate in learning sessions, guided meditations, and discussions that help you reconnect with the strength, clarity, creativity, peace and bliss inside of you. You’ll rediscover your true self - vibrant, authentic, and limitless - the solution to all suffering.

In the evenings and in-between sessions, you’ll be free to wander the beautiful grounds, rest, and relax - integrating everything you’re learning. And throughout, you’ll be nourished with delicious meals prepared by the on-site chef.

If you are looking to live a happier, empowered, and fulfilling life, this retreat is for you.

Retreat Schedule

The retreat begins on Friday September 20th and ends on Sunday September 22nd.

You're welcome to arrive at MIT Endicott House anytime between 3-5pm on Friday. (If you need to arrive later on Friday, let us know what time we can expect you in your registration notes.) At 5:30pm we'll gather for introductions and a guided meditation, followed by a group dinner.

On Saturday, you’ll attend sessions in the morning and afternoon; breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided. Following breakfast on Sunday morning, we'll wrap up with a final session which will conclude at 1:30 pm, followed by a group lunch.

Throughout the weekend, you’ll attend sessions that draw upon various approaches from eastern wisdom traditions, western psychology and yogic sciences. Each session is designed to help you unravel the mysteries of existence so you can fully see and connect to the authentic you - the limitless, timeless, and all-loving you. Practical tools and techniques will be shared to help you reconnect with your true self, enabling you to live authentically and aligned with who you are.

How to Prepare

Doing a weekend retreat can seem daunting if you've only sat for brief periods of meditation before. To help you get the most out of the experience, and put you at ease, Sonal will offer guidance and advice in an orientation call the week before. She'll also check in with you after the retreat, to talk about your experience and help you integrate what you learn into your everyday life.

Rest: It is incredibly supportive to show up to a retreat well rested, so that drowsiness during meditation is minimized. We recommend spending a week attending to your sleep (i.e. go to bed by 10/11pm and wake up by 7am) prior to this retreat.

Formal meditation practice: Intensifying your personal sitting practice prior to the retreat is recommended. Silent meditation is great, but if it’s helpful, you can join Sonal for guided meditation classes online via Zoom. She teaches on Fridays at 8:30am PDT / 11:30am EDT through WITHIN Meditation - just check out our class schedule at https://www.withinmeditation.com/classes.

Who Should Come

If you've been building a meditation practice for just a few weeks, or for several years, you'll appreciate the insight that comes with this weekend retreat. This is a beginner-intermediate level, residential retreat where you can learn practical techniques and processes to peel away life’s preconceptions that prevent you from connecting and discovering the wealth of insight, love and joy within.

Space is limited so we encourage you to register early!

In addition to her meditation offerings, Sonal has led participants in corporate training workshops, as well as clients in coaching sessions through meditation, an easy and effective way of connecting to the insight and clarity within. Sonal also offers sound baths which utilize the healing frequencies of crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, chimes and Tingsha bells. Danielle first stepped foot into WITHIN meditation’s studio in SF back in 2018. She’s deeply grateful for all the joy, ease and love this practice and community has provided her the past 5 years. When she’s not attending a WITHIN class, she is studying for her masters in social work, or running/biking through Central Park.
