When we first start meditating, we’re often looking for more calm, ease, acceptance, and joy - and less reactivity, overwhelm, stress, and anxiety.  While it’s exhilarating to experience those benefits during meditation, have you found that you often lose them once you open your eyes and go back into your active life?

If you'd like to carry that sense of peace and presence with you throughout your day, you just need to change your mindset, and focus your attention on the present moment with mindfulness. But without support, it’s easy to forget and slip back into your usual ways.

That’s why WITHIN teacher Devon Pipars created Mindful Living Circles. Over the course of twelve weeks, you’ll learn first-hand how constant mindfulness allows you to show up in the way you want for yourself, for others, and for life. With support and inspiration from Devon and the others in your Circle, you’ll stop talking about being more mindful, and start living it.

Why Circles Work

Mindful Living Circles are designed to help meditators of all levels integrate and stabilize the awareness gained through their meditation practice into everyday living.

It’s one thing to understand what mindfulness is, and another to live it! Mindful Living Circles are groups of 6-8 people who come together once a week to support and inspire each other to live life mindfully. The teacher creates and holds a safe space where everyone is heard, and offers a specific way to put mindfulness into action each week.

Having that weekly meeting gives you the structure and accountability you need to make meaningful change in how you live your daily life.

I have definitely found myself handling major stresses with more grace and ease. I can let them go easier, and focus more on the positive or things I can control. I also have more trust that things will work out in a positive manner. I think everyone can benefit from being more mindful. I wish I could get a few people in my life to join a Mindful Living Circle!

What to Expect

Mindful Living Circle I meets for twelve interactive online group sessions led by Devon Pipars.

You’ll be enrolled in the group that meets at one of these times, from March 14 through June 6 (skipping April 25):

  • Thursdays 4:30-5:30pm PDT / 7:30-8:30pm EDT

  • Thursdays 7:15-8:15pm PDT / 10:15-11:15pm EDT

You can let us know which of those days/times works for you when you register.

In each hour-long session, Devon will offer a specific mindfulness practice for the group to put into action that week. The following week, you’ll share about your experience making it a part of your daily life, and hear from others in the group about their experience.

Over the course of three months, you’ll deeply integrate mindfulness into your meditation practice, and into your daily life. You’ll bring awareness, letting go, self-acceptance and consistency to your meditation practice, as the foundation for mindful living. Then, you’ll bring mindfulness into your daily routines: you’ll practice being fully present for the little things, from eating to sleeping to washing the dishes, as a doorway into happiness.

Everyone in the Circle will support and inspire each other as you examine everyday choices about how you live your life in order to step into a place of alignment and harmony.

You’ll reflect on what you’ve learned throughout the weeks of the Circle, and create a clear intention for how you’ll support and sustain your greater awareness. This format requires a willingness to share and also receive different experiences and perspectives.

At the end of the 12 weeks, you’ll be invited to continue for with another Mindful Living Circle. Continuing is entirely optional - but you may find that, once you start integrating mindfulness into your life, you don’t want to stop!

The homework, weekly conversations and tools shared are helping me to deal with stress and anxiety, and to develop better habits. Every person would benefit from being in a Mindful Living Circle.

Your Teacher

Devon Pipars is a teacher and blogger for withinmeditation.com, who also works with corporate wellness companies. She is a featured voice for the meditation training device Core, as well as a senior instructor on the Core app (hellocore.com).

Meditation is Devon’s passion and purpose. A meditator since 2002, the practice has been deeply transformative for her. After devoting four years to the study and practice of meditation under the guidance of a master teacher in the Indian Himalayas, Devon’s sessions incorporate multiple traditions and techniques including mindfulness, breath work, mantra, gratitude practice & loving kindness.

Devon is masterful at translating all she’s learned into simple terms, making her classes appropriate for first-time meditators as well as experts. No matter what your experience level, her approach effectively reduces stress and promotes well-being.

Initially I turned to meditation to manage work stress and stay centered throughout my daily life — with Devon as a teacher, I’ve walked away with that and so much more.

Her teachings resonate on a soul-level, and provide practical guidance on how to turn those epiphanies into action to create lasting change in your life.

FAQs

How much does it cost?
For $299, you’ll be enrolled in all twelve online sessions. Scholarships are available - please email us at sit@withinmeditation.com if cost is a barrier for you.

How do the online sessions work?
All Circle sessions are held via Zoom, so they’re super easy to join with your laptop, your tablet or your phone. You’ll receive a link to join once you complete your registration.

Are the online sessions recorded?
Yes, we record the sessions in case a participant has to miss. Recordings are only shared with those who miss a session and are deleted after one week.

When will I come to a Circle?
The Circle meets once a week for an hour for twelve weeks. We’re currently enrolling students in Mindful Living Circle I, which will meet on Thursdays from March 14th through June 6th, 2024 (skipping April 25th). When you register, you can let us know which times on those days work best for you. We’ll let you know by March 10th which day and time your Circle will be meeting.

How often will I need to come to a Circle?
When you register, you’re committing to joining at least 10 out of the 12 live online sessions of your Circle. If you miss a session, Devon can catch you up on the mindfulness practice she introduced, but the real value of the Circle is the conversation and sharing among the participants. We encourage you to take your commitment to the Circle seriously, and do everything you can to protect that time on your schedule.

What happens in session?
In each hour-long session, Devon will offer a specific mindfulness practice for the group to put into action that week. The following week, you’ll share about your experience making it a part of your daily life, and hear from others in the group about their experience.

Is there any guided meditation in the sessions?
There is no guided meditation in the sessions. If you’re looking for guided meditation, check out our online classes instead.

Who leads the Circle sessions?
Devon Pipars will lead the Circle sessions.

Do I need any special clothes or equipment?
None! One of our favorite things about meditation and mindfulness is that you don't need anything special to practice them. You’ll need access to the internet, and a phone, laptop or tablet, to join the online classes.

Can I start and stop during the Circle?
You’ll learn the most - and do the most to build your mindfulness practice - if you attend all twelve sessions of your Circle. However, if you miss a session, Devon can catch you up on the mindfulness practice she introduced. That said, the real value of the Circle is the conversation and sharing among the participants. We encourage you to take your commitment to the Circle seriously, and do everything you can to protect that time on your schedule.

What happens if I sign up, and then realize it's not right for me? Do you give refunds?
We want you to feel great about jumping in. If you decide after your first Circle session that it isn’t for you, we’ll give you a full refund. Because we also want you to take your participation in the Circle seriously, you must request the refund by 11:59pm PDT on March 20th for us to honor it. If you register with the Early Bird Special, upon issuing your refund we will end your unlimited access to online meditation classes held at WITHIN.

I have other questions!
