Have you noticed that New Year resolutions often fade into disappointment within a few days?
Instead of forced goal-setting, intentions that arise from groundedness, alignment, and clarity have a far greater chance of bringing harmony into our actions and daily life. The beginning of the year offers a natural moment to pause, reflect on what we’ve learned, release what no longer serves us, and recognize the gifts already present. When we take this kind of mindful approach, we empower ourselves to move into the new year with steadiness and deeper well-being.
In this intimate live online gathering, you’ll explore how intention can shape a more mindful, meaningful 2026. You’ll leave with a “garden” to nurture, and a compassionate orientation of the heart: steady, authentic, and aligned with what truly matters to you. Through reflection, journaling, meditation, experiential practice, and community dialogue, you’ll uncover intentions that feel nourishing, sustainable, and actionable.
There are no prerequisites for this experience. Whether you’re new to meditation or simply want to create lasting intentions, everyone is welcome to join this warm, supportive community space.
What to Expect Each Week
Week 1 - Opening to Intention: Arriving Into the New Year
We begin by settling into the group space, reflecting on the past year, and exploring what mindful intention truly means. We’ll look at the three components of mindfulness - Intention, Attention, and Attitude - and how they support a grounded start to the year.
You’ll leave with: a sense of clarity, connection, and a gentle starting place for your 2026 intention.
Week 2 – Letting Go: Creating Space for the New
This week invites you to notice what no longer supports your well-being and gently release any old patterns, stories, habits, or emotional residues. Through mindful awareness exercises, and somatic grounding, we’ll explore letting go as an act of spaciousness rather than effort.
You’ll leave with: a feeling of lightness and more room for what feels nourishing in the months ahead.
Week 3 – Listening Within: What’s Truly Important to You
Instead of focusing on “values” as concepts, we explore the felt sense of what matters most. Through journaling and guided inquiry, we’ll reflect on questions that help intention arise naturally like What qualities do I want to cultivate this year? What do I long for more of? Is this intention coming from fear, ego, or alignment?
You’ll leave with: deeper inner clarity and a sense of direction rooted in authenticity.
Week 4 – Living in Alignment: Bringing Intention Into Daily Life
This week, we’ll explore how to bridge intention and action with gentleness. We’ll look at supportive rituals, nervous system safety, environment, and small daily choices that support intentional living. We’ll also explore how mindful attitude and attention help an intention stay alive without rigidity, and leave room for growth and expansion.
You’ll leave with: simple, compassionate daily practices that help your intention take shape in real life.
Week 5 – Resistance: Meeting Obstacles with Compassion & Resilience
Every meaningful intention meets resistance-old conditioning, doubt, overwhelm, or forgetting. This week focuses on meeting those moments with mindfulness and compassion rather than self-judgment so that you can continue your journey without giving up or stopping midway.
You’ll leave with: greater resilience and a growing capacity to meet challenges gently rather than abandon your intention.
Week 6 – Integration & Vision: Stepping Into Your Year With Presence
Our final session weaves together the insights from the past six weeks. We’ll explore how intentions naturally evolve, the link between intention and conscious manifestation, and how to sustain a mindful orientation throughout the year.
You’ll leave with: a clear, adaptable, New Year intention that can be embodied with presence throughout the year.
Your Teacher
Herky Chopra had a deep meditative upbringing growing up in India with exposure to wisdom teachings, and the guidance of an enlightened master. She immigrated to the US at the age of 20 and even though Herky held a successful corporate career as a Project Manager, her deepest passion is in practicing and teaching meditation. She is also a life coach for women and helps them find well-being by creating an inward shift & tap into higher levels of self-compassion, self-worth, joy, and inner peace. She uses a variety of techniques in her practice but her core message is that we all have accessibility & must learn to tap into the inner dimensions of calm and presence amidst all the chaos we often experience in our outside world.
For the past 15 years, Herky has deep-dived in various modalities and practical applications in personal development, positive psychology, career and life coaching, mindfulness, and spirituality integrating east-west wisdom teachings.
In her own personal journey raising three children and a full-time career, Herky has found meditation to be her constant companion to not only get grounded and overcome the stresses of modern living but also find meaning, joy, and beauty in her daily life.
