The Forgiveness Series

8-Week Journey Through the Heart Practices

October 22 - Decemer 17, 2025

All Sessions Online

5:30-6:15pm PT

This 8-week series is designed to guide participants into a deeper relationship with forgiveness through experiential practice, reflection, and community dialogue. Forgiveness is not about condoning harm or bypassing difficult emotions—it is a courageous practice of releasing what no longer serves us and cultivating freedom of heart.

Each session focuses on one of four core emotions that arises as the normal process of forgiveness—fear, anger, sadness, and/or numbness—paired with a heart practice that transforms these states into resilience and compassion. Gratitude and compassion are intentionally integrated throughout the series, as research has shown they are essential supports to the forgiveness process.

I have definitely found myself handling major stresses with more grace and ease. I can let them go easier, and focus more on the positive or things I can control. I also have more trust that things will work out in a positive manner. I think everyone can benefit from being more mindful. I wish I could get a few people in my life to join a Mindful Living Circle!

The Schedule

Week 1 – Oct 22 – Opening to Forgiveness: Setting Intention
We begin by creating a safe, supportive container for the group. Participants will clarify what forgiveness means personally, set intentions, understand the process of self to other forgiveness, and learn how gratitude and compassion lay the foundation for healing.

Gain: clarity of purpose and a sense of grounded belonging in the group.

Week 2 – Oct 29 – Cultivating Self Forgiveness
Explore how self-judgment and shame block healing. Through guided reflection and forgiveness meditation, participants will practice meeting themselves with compassion and acceptance.

Gain: the ability to soften inner criticism and begin releasing old burdens.

Week 3 – Nov 5 – Meeting Fear with Lovingkindness
Examine how fear fosters contraction and limits openness to others. Using lovingkindness meditation, participants will learn to relate to fear with gentleness and safety.

Gain: greater courage, openness, and self-trust.

NOTE: We will skip the week of November 12.

Week 4 – Nov 19 – Meeting Anger with Forgiveness
Understand anger as both a signal and a teacher. Through embodied practice and forgiveness meditation, participants learn to honor anger’s message while releasing its hold.

Gain: emotional insight and tools for transforming anger into clarity and release.

Week 5 – Nov 26 – Meeting Sadness with Compassion
Honor grief and loss as part of the forgiveness path. Compassionate boundary practices and guided imagery will help participants hold sadness without being consumed by it.

Gain: resilience, deeper self-respect, and space for healing.

Week 6 – Dec 3 – Meeting Numbness with Equanimity
Recognize numbness and disconnection as protective mechanisms. Through equanimity meditation and body-based awareness, participants gently reconnect to themselves.

Gain: balance, steadiness, and presence.

Week 7 – Dec 10 – Integration and Compassionate Boundaries
Review the four emotions—fear, anger, sadness, and numbness—and the practices that support them. Deepen into compassionate boundaries and embodied yes/no practices.

Gain: confidence in expressing truth, honoring limits, and sustaining forgiveness in relationships.

Week 8 – Dec 17 – Celebration and Commitment to Ongoing Forgiveness
Celebrate the journey with gratitude, paired sharing, and ritual. Participants set intentions for sustaining forgiveness practices beyond the series.

Gain: closure, renewal, and an ongoing commitment to living with an open heart.

The homework, weekly conversations and tools shared are helping me to deal with stress and anxiety, and to develop better habits. Every person would benefit from being in a Mindful Living Circle.

FAQs for The Forgiveness Series

How much does it cost?
For $299, you’ll be enrolled in all eight online sessions of The Forgiveness Series. Scholarships are available - please email us at sit@withinmeditation.com if cost is a barrier for you.

How do the online sessions work?
All sessions are held via Zoom, so they’re super easy to join with your laptop, your tablet or your phone. You’ll receive a link to join once you complete your registration.

Are the online sessions recorded?
Yes, you will learn important techniques in each session that we want you to be able to practice on your own time. Recordings will remain available through December 24, 2025.

When will the group meet?
The group meets once a week for an hour for eight weeks on Wednesdays from October 22nd through December 17th, 2025.

How often will I need to come to a Circle? - Hannah not sure if we have a minimum session requirement?
When you register, you’re committing to joining at least 8 out of the 10 live online sessions of your Circle. If you miss a session, Devon can catch you up on the mindfulness practice she introduced, but the real value of the Circle is the conversation and sharing among the participants. We encourage you to take your commitment to the Circle seriously, and do everything you can to protect that time on your schedule.

What happens in session? - Hannah I’m not sure exactly the format in classes? Can you delete or edit?
In each hour-long session, you can expect sharing from all participants, as well as a guided 10 minute meditation to close, using a different meditation technique each week that is helpful to alleviate anxiety. Devon provides many thought-provoking journaling exercises throughout, so that you can really drill down to the roots of this extremely common condition. You'll learn some very immediate and healthy coping mechanisms you can turn to whenever you need to manage the symptoms of anxiety, such as calming breathwork, self-compassion, setting boundaries, and clearly communicating what we need in those moments to ourselves and others. This format requires a willingness to share and also receive different experiences and perspectives.

Is there any guided meditation in the sessions?
There is a brief guided meditation in each session. If you’re looking for more substantial guided meditation, check out our online classes instead.

Who leads the sessions?
Carley Hauck will lead the sessions.

Do I need any special clothes or equipment?
None! One of our favorite things about meditation and mindfulness is that you don't need anything special to practice them. You’ll need access to the internet, and a phone, laptop or tablet, to join the online classes.

Can I start and stop during the schedule?
You’ll learn the most - and do the most to build your mindfulness practice - if you attend all sessions of your series. However, if you miss a session, Carley can catch you up on the mindfulness practice she introduced. That said, the real value of the series is the conversation and sharing among the participants. We encourage you to take your commitment to the series seriously, and do everything you can to protect that time on your schedule.

What happens if I sign up, and then realize it's not right for me? Do you give refunds?
We want you to feel great about jumping in. If you decide after your first session that it isn’t for you, we’ll give you a full refund. Because we also want you to take your participation in the series seriously, you must request the refund by 11:59pm PDT on the day before the second session for us to honor it (Oct 29). If you register with the Early Bird Special, upon issuing your refund we will end your month of unlimited access to online meditation classes held at WITHIN.

I have other questions!
Great! Just email us at sit@withinmeditation.com and we'll answer right away.
